You are sexy and beautiful no matter how you deal with your body hair. This is a guide for people who want to shave some or all of their pubic hair, for one reason or another.
1. Find the right razor for the job.
Your local drugstore probably has a selection of razors that would make your bikini line look exactly how you would like it to look — or you may be able to use the razor you already own. You can also find smaller shavers, like these, made specifically for your bikini line.
If you’re looking to be just a little more groomed but don’t necessarily want to be completely bare, you could try a men’s beard trimmer (here are some tested recommendations). It’s fast, and is less likely to irritate your skin the way shaving cream and a regular razor might.

You can also find shavers and trimmers made specifically for your bikini area (like these) — depending on the model, you can use these trimmers on wet or dry skin and hair. They come in different shapes and sizes, so you can find one that works for your body.
2. Start by trimming your hair down.
Trim down the edges, trim everywhere, or trim everywhere but your labia, until the hair is just a few centimeters long. You can use scissors or try a bikini trimmer (like this non-electric one or a battery-powered option like this). Be patient with this process regardless of the tool.
If you are happy with the length of your hair after trimming, you can stop here, and don’t have to shave everything off.
Tip: Gently pull your labia taut before you go near them with the trimmer, to reduce the chance of nicking yourself, or getting your skin caught in an electric trimmer.
